Affectionately called “Briland” by its residents, Harbour Island is one of the oldest and most charming settlements in the Bahamas. Dunmore Town — named after its founder, Lord Dunmore in 1786 — is the main and only town on Harbour Island and is one of the oldest settlements in the Bahamas. A small quaint village featuring New England architecture, Dunmore was known for its ship building and sugar refinement in the late 1800s.

We love this island for its natural beauty, laid-back rhythm, friendly people and (of course) the roosters that wake you up at the crack of dawn. Only stretching 3.5 miles long with 2,000 or so inhabitants, everything on Harbour Island is just of a short golf cart ride away. No matter how many times we visit the island, we are always struck by the beauty of the pink sands beach and turquoise blue water. We are so excited for you to experience the beauty of one of our favorite places in the world!
